Thank you so much for showing interest in my rustic stitchery patterns!

My grandson, Corbin, the inspiration for #641 - Pride & Joy

My husband and I have been making rustic woodcrafts for over ten years, and I just decided one day to "give it a go" at designing my own stitchery patterns.  I cannot remember a time when I have not had the urge to create!  One of these memories includes making plastic canvas, rainbow key chains that my grandma would peddle at the local tavern.  When she made a sale, I was thrilled! Therefore, from an early age, I have enjoyed creating things that bring enjoyment to others.  Luckily, my "day job", as a 5th grade teacher, is also a creative outlet in which I can inspire my students.

During the summer of 2009, I was online searching the web for a handmade marketplace.  I was unable to find exactly what I was looking for--a handmade in the USA marketplace that was a network for locating primitive, folk art, and craft creations and patterns.  As a crafter and shopper of antiques and primitives for many years, I noticed that more and more online marketplaces, and even local craft shows, were becoming inundated with nice looking, primitive and folk art creations that were "MADE IN CHINA". For this reason, I decided to create an online marketplace with a focus solely on advertising online businesses that provide handmade in America wares.  Down the Handmade Path: A Handmade Primitive, Folk art, and Craft Marketplace was born.

The one thing that I have enjoyed the most about this new endeavor is discovering the truly amazing and unique creations of DtHP's gifted advertising members.  I have also had the pleasure of "meeting" so many friendly people who share in my website's vision.

Since it's start in August of 2009, Down the Handmade Path has 100+ members and is still growing! Please stop by Down the Handmade Path, a Handmade Primitive, Folk Art,  & Craft Marketplace.  DtHP is a marketplace dedicated to promoting the diligent efforts of its members whose products are made by hand in America.

I hope you enjoy my stitchery patterns and become equally as inspired to create.
